In August 1945, Alvin G. Beaman purchased a franchise to sell Dodge and Plymouth products. He decided to place the dealership in the heart of downtown Nashville.
In 1958, Mr. Beaman elected to switch to Pontiac, a brand that was gaining recognition in the Middle Tennessee area. Upon hanging the historic Pontiac sign, he began to build one of the most successful franchises in the history of the Beaman Automotive Group. The Pontiac franchise has led the group to the top by winning Pontiac's coveted Master Dealer Designation every year since the awards's inception.
In 1975, Toyota was added and has since achieved the same kind of recognition, consistently placing among the top dealerships in the country.
1985 brought Lincoln-Mercury to the product line and this dealership has continued the heritage by winning an unprecedented seven of Lincoln-Mercury's Presidents awards.
The GMC Truck line was added in 1989.
In June 2000, Beaman came full circle when we acquired a Dodge dealership in Murfreesboro.
Since that day in 1945, Beaman Automotive Group has grown to be one of the largest and most respected dealerships in the country.
